Ambassador's Award of Excellence to the charity TLC of BC for preserving and maintaing the “Abkhazi Garden”
On November 22, Ambassador Konstantin Kavtaradze presented the special Ambassador's Award of Excellence to the charity TLC of BC for preserving and maintaing the “Abkhazi Garden” - the heritage garden created in 1946 in Victoria BC by the Georgian prince Nicolas Abkhazi and his wife Peggy Abkhazi. Ambassador also took part in presenting BC Heritage Awards to volunteers and friends of the Abkhazi Garden. Earlier that day Ambassador visited the Costume Museum of Victoria which hosts the exhibition of Nicolas and Peggy Abkhazi's dresses, among them traditional Georgian dress Chokha. Ambassador presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Museum for promoting the legacy of Abkhazis.
